Waarom een duurzaamheidsbijdrage
RWG is een 100% CO2-neutrale terminal voor alle eigen equipment. Duurzaamheid is een belangrijke strategische doelstelling voor RWG, dit is geheel in lijn met de visie van het Havenbedrijf Rotterdam op de toekomst van de Rotterdamse haven. Vanuit deze strategie heeft RWG een zeer omvangrijk reeds lopend investeringsprogramma opgesteld voor de aankomende jaren, om structureel voor alle modaliteiten een partner te zijn in de transitie naar 100% CO2-neutrale supply chains op water, weg en spoor. Mede zodat alle partijen tijdig kunnen voldoen aan alle toekomstige verplichtingen die worden opgelegd vanuit de EU en andere overheidsinstanties in relatie tot deze doelstelling. In dit kader zal vanaf 1 mei 2024 een duurzaamheidsbijdrage worden ingevoerd.
Frequently asked questions
How much is the sustainability contribution?
The contribution is € 2.95 (excluding VAT) per truck visit, regardless of the number of containers brought and/or collected during the visit. The contribution is due both during and outside peak hours. This contribution does not apply to zero-emission trucks.
How is the contribution charged?
The sustainability contribution will, like the peak surcharge, be charged through our partner SecureLogistics. The same methodology applies as for the peak surcharge. See RWG's general terms and conditions for a detailed explanation.
How do I register a zero emission truck?
Unlike regular trucks, zero emission lorries are exempt from the sustainability contribution.
Do you own such a truck?
Register it once by sending an email to customerservice@rwg.nl stating the registration number. From that moment on, the sustainability contribution will be credited for a terminal visit.
Please note: Any already invoiced and paid contributions will be credited to the booking party.
What happens if I don't accept the amended terms and conditions again before 1 May 2024?
Then you will no longer be able to book time slots at RWG from 1 May 2024.
