Rotterdam World Gateway (RWG) provides container storage and transhipment with maximum efficiency. Seamless access to Europe: seamless transit of containers from all over the world to consumers and businesses in Europe. And vice versa.
On Friday afternoon May 19th 2017, the MOL Triumph made her maiden call at RWG. The MOL Triumph is 400 meters long, 58 meters wide and has a capacity of 20.170 TEU. As such, it is the first vessel with a capacity of over 20.000 TEU to call on the port of Rotterdam. To welcome this vessel was not only an important milestone for RWG but also for Rotterdam in general. It marks a new era in container handling in the port of Rotterdam.
Since end November 2016, Rotterdam World Gateway (RWG) is certified for ISO-55001 (Asset Management) and OHSAS-18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management).
The ISO-55001 certificate proves that RWG manages its assets in such a way that they contribute to the realization of the organizational goals. RWG is the first deep sea container terminal certified for Asset Management. The OHSAS-18001 certificate shows that RWG meets the highest norms concerning health and safety of its employees. The goal of the organization is to keep on optimizing the organizational processes and management system.
Earlier this year, RWG already received certificates for ISO-14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO-28000 (Security Management).
